Five Chicago Firefighters Injured When Fire Apparatus Struck

Five firefighters were reportedly injured when a Chicago (IL) Fire Department apparatus collided with another vehicle on the city’s South Side.

The incident occurred late Tuesday in the 300 block of East 79th Street, according to a report from ABC7.

Police said a vehicle ran a red light and struck the rig, sending it onto its side.

The firefighters were and the civilian driver were reportedly transported in good condition.
