Elderly Woman Dead in Brooklyn (NY) House Fire



According to a report from The Daily News, an elderly woman died in a house fire just after 3 a.m. Monday morning.

At around 3:10 a.m., Fire Department of New York (FDNY) crews were dispatched to the three-story brick rowhouse on E. 52nd St. near Avenue D in East Flatbush.

After arrival, the woman, who neighbors described as elderly, kept to herself, and had a home care aide, was discovered dead on the second floor. Her identity has not yet been revealed.

Other residents inside the home escaped to safety.

FDNY fire marshals are working to determine the cause of the fire.
