Firefighters Battle Large FL Brush Fire

The fire was about 50 acres in size and grew rapidly due to strong winds. Two structures were threatened. Lake County Fire Rescue with help from neighboring departments brought the fire under control in about three hours.  Five fire departments responded with about 10 apparatus, three battalion chiefs, and two bulldozers from the Division of Forestry. Departments on scene were Lake County Fire Rescue, Orange County Fire Rescue, Clermont Fire Department, Groveland Fire Department, and the Florida Division of Forestry.
