According to a report from KJRH, a business was evacuated after a sulfuric acid and a phosphoric acid spill in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at around 7:15 a.m. this morning.
Tulsa Fire Department and hazmat crews are on the scene in the area near 46th and Memorial at BS&B Safety Systems.
Officials confirmed the spill, and employees were evacuated, with some reporting respiratory issues. Those employees are now being looked after.
Sulfuric acid is a corrosive mineral acid that is extremely reactive; dissolves most metals; and which oxidizes, dehydrates, or sulfonates most organic compounds, often causing charring.
