OK Fire Crews Rescue Unconscious Resident from House Fire

According to a report from KOCO, Oklahoma City (OK) Fire Department (OCFD) crews rescued one person from a home in the southwest part of the city early Wednesday morning after it erupted in flames.

OCFD officials said a woman and her father were inside the home near Southwest 47th Street and Western Avenue when the fire started in a bedroom. One got out to safety, while firefighters found another unconscious.

OCFD Battalion Chief Paul Nash said crews discovered one victim inside the home unconscious, removed the person in about 90 seconds, and immediately began advanced life-support care. After EMSA arrived on scene, the victim was transported to the hospital.

Fire officials are now investigating the cause of the fire.
