One Adult, One Child Hospitalized After TN House Fire

According to a report from WATE, Knoxville (TN) Fire Department (KFD) crews quickly extinguished a house fire during the early-morning hours Monday in the 2200 block of Mississippi Avenue in West Knoxville. One adult and a child were transported to a local hospital in serious/critical condition.

After receiving the 911 call at 3:23 a.m. from a neighbor, KFD crews arrived on scene with reports of people trapped inside the home.

KFD crews extinguished the fire quickly, with most of the damage being confined to the front of the home.

KFD investigators are now looking into the cause of the fire.
