The U.S. Fire Administration reported on the death of a fire captain with the Kern County (CA) Fire Department who was found dead at a fire station.
On Thursday, July 14, 2022, Captain Brian Falk, 47, was at the fire station when he was found unresponsive by fellow firefighters. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The cause and nature of his death are under investigation.
His obituary noted that he served the department for more than 20 years.
