FL Firefighter Dies After Suffering Medical Emergency at Firehouse

A veteran firefighter with Polk County (FL) Fire Rescue has passed away after suffering a medical emergency while at a firehouse, according to the U.S. Fire Administration.

On Tuesday, June 14, 2022, while on duty at the fire station, Fire Engineer/Paramedic Douglas Clemons, 56, experienced a medical emergency. He was immediately transported to the hospital where he passed away a short time later from an apparent heart attack.
