Five Hospitalized After Electrical Fire Ignites at IN Correctional Facility

According to a report from WTHR, an electrical fire that broke out at the Pendleton Correctional Facility on Tuesday sent five people to the hospital, said the Indiana Department of Correction (DOC). None of the people hospitalized were inmates.

The Pendleton Correctional Facility is a state prison in Madison County, about 25 miles northeast of Indianapolis.

The Indiana DOC did not indicate the size of the fire or the current conditions of the five victims. An Indiana DOC spokesperson said the fire is now under investigation.
