According to a report from WFMY, an apartment complex fire in High Point, North Carolina, off Copperstone Drive displaced at least 30 residents from at least nine units Monday night at around 10:30 p.m.
High Point Fire Department (HPFD) officials said firefighters rescued five people from upper-floor windows.
Two rescued residents were transported to Wake Forest Baptist for serious but nonlife-threatening injuries, two others were sent to Cone Health for smoke inhalation, and one to a High Point hospital for minor injuries. They are all expected to recover.
Firefighters don’t know what caused the fire at this time. Officials said some of the units had heavy fire damage.
