Three Dead in West Chester (OH) Mobile Home Fire



According to a report from WCPO, three people were killed and one West Chester Township (OH) Fire & EMS firefighter was hospitalized with heat exhaustion after a mobile home fire that occurred shortly after midnight Tuesday morning.

Around midnight, a West Chester police officer spotted smoke coming from the Princeton Crossing mobile home park. On investigating, the officer discovered a trailer on fire. Firefighters were then dispatched to the park.

On arrival, fire crews discovered three people trapped inside the mobile home, pulling them from the structure. Firefighters performed CPR on all three victims; two were then transported to West Chester Hospital and Mercy Health-Fairfield Hospital, respectively.

Despite their best efforts, all three victims died from their injuries; their names have yet to be released.

Officials said that the majority of the fire was at the rear bedroom of the home, the roof partially collapsed as well as a wall, but most of the home is still intact.
