On May 12, 2021, firefighters with the Indianapolis (IN) Fire Department responded to a collision that sent one vehicle barreling into a porch.

Witnesses say a Gray Pontiac G6 heading south on Ethel Ave crossed into the path of a Red GMC Terrain, which was headed east on 29th St. This resulted in a T-Bone collision that sent the Gray Pontiac G6 airborne and into the house that sits at the corner of 29th and Ethel Ave. The vehicle landed on the porch and destroyed the brick support column.

Indianapolis Collapse Rescue Team 5 was called in to shore up the porch roof so that the tow truck could remove the car. They used a three-post vertical, load-bearing shore. The male driver and the female passenger in the gray car were transported to Eskenazi and Methodist, respectively, and the driver of the Red GMC was checked at the scene and deemed okay.
