Crews Battle West Windsor (NJ) Apartment Fire

Four firefighters sustained minor injuries while battling a multiple-alarm fire at an apartment complex in West Windsor, New Jersey, according to reports.

According to NBC 10 News, the fire began Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at around 3:15 p.m. at the Avalon Princeton Junction apartment building on Taylor Court and spread to multiple units.

The fire ultimately went to four alarms, according to PlanetPrinceton.com.

WPVI reported that 22 people had been displaced by the fire. Crews had heavy fire on arrival from the second and third floor and it quickly extended from there, according to Lieutenant Mike McMahon with the West Windsor Township Police Department.

West Windsor Police Department reported that four members sustained minor injuries at the fire.

Approximately 200 firefighters responded to the fire, which was contained to Building 8, with 22 units destroyed.

In 2015, firefighters battled a massive fire that ravaged the Avalon at Edgewater luxury housing complex.
