Fire at Tustin (CA) apartment building

At least 120 firefighters responded to an early morning fire that went to five alarms at a Tustin (CA) apartment complex.

According to the Orange County (CA) Fire Authority (OCFA) PIO, the fire occurred around 3 a.m. at a two-story apartment building on 15751 Williams St. Crews performed a defensive attack at the fire.

According to a report on the Orange County Register, the fire caused the roof of the structure to collapse. Two residents suffered smoke inhalation and were taken to a hospital, and some residents were yet to be accounted for this morning. There were no reported firefighter injuries.

“We had roof collapse in about 24 minutes, which is very quick for a building of this size,” OCFA Captain Tony Bommarito told reporters.
