The Divide (CO) Fire Protection District designed this DANKO rescue truck to negotiate mountainous terrain with wildland interface. Most residences are nestled into wooded hillsides. Portions of Pikes Peak National Forest and Mueller State Park are within its jurisdiction. Firefighter Manuel Reyes says the unit is first out to medical calls, and the roomy cab provides easy crew communication.

- DODGE 5500 4×4 chassis with a 173-inch wheelbase and five-seat cab;
- CUMMINS 6.7L diesel engine;
- 10-foot body with ROM roll-up compartment doors;
- HANSCOM backup camera;
- GENESIS rescue tools;
- MEDTRONIC AED;
- customer supplied front winch; and
- light and power with a MECC ALTE six-kw diesel generator and COMMAND LIGHT and WHELEN fixed and telescoping scene lights.

The New Haven (CT) Fire Department designed this heavy rescue truck built by RESCUE 1 MANUFACTURING with a two-seat cab and walk-in body with bench seat for the crew; this shortens the length of the vehicle, which provides better maneuverability through city streets and congestion.

- SEAGRAVE Attacker chassis with a 232-inch wheelbase and two-seat cab;
- CUMMINS ISX 12 500-hp diesel engine;
- 21-foot walk-in body with five-person squad bench, absorbent compartment, and storage for two Stokes baskets;
- RESCUE 1 manufactured outboard motor mount;
- HOLMATRO rescue tools;
- HANNAY air hose reel and two hydraulic reels;
- RAMSEY 10-ton rear winch;
- WARN 4½-ton portable winch with three receivers;
- rack for 10 spare SCBA cylinders;

- light and power with a HARRISON 20-kw hydraulic PTO generator, WHELEN scene lights, a GOLIGHT on the cab roof, and one HANNAY electric cord reel.
