Earlier this month, Chattanooga (TN) firefighters responded to a raging fire at a home, and Battalion Chief David Thompson provided some photos from the scene.

At 6:58 p.m. on August 13, a call came into the Hamilton County 911 for a reported house fire at 223 Germantown Road. Battalion 2 arrived on the scene and reported that there was smoke and fire visible from the rear of the house.

On account of the high heat, an additional company was requested, which brought a total of seven fire companies to the scene. The fire was attacked aggressively and brought under control quickly.

A fire investigator was called to the scene and the cause of the fire is under investigation. There were no injuries reported. The damage to the house is estimated at $80,000.00.
