Firefighters in Indianapolis responded to this recent fire in a salvage yard. Crews used aerial operations and hadlines to control the fire, which affected approximately 100 cars.
The cars were stacked in two large piles of about 50 cars each. Firefighters worked with a forklift operator and forklift to remove cars one by one for extinguishment. As the cars were separated and moved, crews were able to get water into the middle of the pile and into the individual cars.
