Sprinkler Trade Association
The American Fire Sprinkler Association, Inc. was formed in September as a means of supplying trained apprentices for the sprinkler industry. The AFSA will also offer courses and training for sprinkler designers, sales estimators, special hazards, and other skills.
Joseph F. Mulrine is the executive director for the New Haven-headquartered association. He previously was with the National Automatic Sprinkler and Fire Control Association. The address at the new association is P.O. Box 8178, New Haven, Conn. 06530.
