The Deer Park, NY, Fire Department has accepted delivery of a 1985 LTI ladder tower with an American LaFrance Century Low Boy chassis. It has a Detroit diesel 6V92T engine and Allison HT-740D automatic transmission.

The city of Minneapolis, MN, is operating a small fleet of new pumpers, including two telesquirts, all delivered by General Safety Co. Inc. The pumpers are mounted on International S, 4-door chassis with Detroit 671T diesel engines and Allison automatic transmission. They have Waterous single-stage 1,250-gpm pumps and 500-gallon water tanks.

The Holden, MA, Fire Department took delivery of a custom pumper built by Farrar on a Duplex D-350 chassis, with Detroit 8V-71N diesel engine and Allison HT-740 automatic transmission. The unit mounts a 1,500-gpm Waterous single-stage pump with 500-gallon polypropylene water tank. A Jaffrey large-diameter hose reel is provided for 2,500 feet of 4-inch hose. The pump has two 4inch discharges and four 2 1/2-inch discharges.

The city of Pittsburgh, PA, recently received several rear-mount aerials. The units are built by Pierre Thibault on Duplex D-300 chassis with five-man cabs. They are powered by a Detroit 8V 71T diesel engine with an Allison HT 740 automatic transmission. The truck wheelbase is 226 inches.

The Moorefield Township Fire Department of Clark County, OH, operates this 2,500-gallon tanker built by Pierce. The unique makeup of this unit features an International CO 9670 chassis in which the cab’s jumpseats and canopy are modified in the space that would normally be the sleeper on similar highway model tractors. The tanker is powered by a Cummins NCT, 350-hp diesel with Allison HT 740 automatic transmission. The pump is a top-mounted Waterous CSU 1,500-gpm single-stage.

The East Newark, NJ, Fire Department recently placed in service a 100-foot rear-mounted quint built by Seagrave. The truck has a Model WB, five-man cab and is powered by a Detroit 6V 71 diesel engine with Allison HT 740D automatic transmission. The pump is a Waterous YCX 1,000-gpm two-stage, and the water tank contains 250 gallons. There are two 200-foot lengths of 1 1/2-inch pre-connected hose placed in Mattydale fashion.
