Tyco SimplexGrinnell Demonstrates the Value of eServices at NFPA Expo

Tyco SimplexGrinnell, in the fire and life safety industry, is showing attendees at the NFPA Expo the increasing importance of eServices — the integrated suite of technology and service capabilities the company is leveraging to bring innovation and added value to end users, engineers and contractors.


The company’s emphasis at NFPA on the transformative power of today’s connected Internet-based solutions is reflected in the theme for the Tyco SimplexGrinnell booth: ‘Connect through Innovation. Connect with Technology. Connect with eServices’. The booth showcases the full range of eServices capabilities, including the new Simplex 4007ES fire alarm panel for small and mid-sized applications and the highly advanced TrueAlert ES addressable notification. The booth also features an interactive, touchscreen presentation — delivered on a 70-inch display — that covers all aspects of eServices, including electronic inspection reporting, the online customer portal, and remote fire alarm system diagnostics.

eServices Defined

At Tyco SimplexGrinnell, eServices includes electronic reporting that streamlines the life-safety system testing and inspection process and a customer portal providing secure, real-time access to system information, data management and customized reports. eServices also includes innovative solutions enabled by the advanced technology of Simplex ES fire alarm panels, such as addressable TrueAlert notification appliances that are easier to design and install and also offer revolutionary self-testing capabilities.

 

Another key component of eServices is TrueInsight, which provides remote diagnostics for Simplex ES fire alarm panels. TrueInsight Remote Service gives expert Tyco SimplexGrinnell technicians an electronic window into the status and operation of a customer’s fire alarm system. The technicians are automatically alerted to system issues and can identify upcoming maintenance needs, such as detectors that will soon need cleaning. For TrueInsight customers, Tyco SimplexGrinnell provides increased uptime, fewer business disruptions and a better customer experience that includes a 90% first-time fix rate.
