The Newark-based UMDNJ-University Hospital EMS at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey placed this HACKNEY heavy rescue truck in service. It`s the hospital`s fourth-generation rescue truck serving Newark, EMS Director Nancy Hamstra says. It has more storage space because of an expanded inventory and provides medically focused rescue service with EMT/rescue-qualified personnel. Newark occupies 26 square miles and has 300,000 residents.
