Sam Goldwater Accepts Position at Bob Andrews Group

The Bob Andrews Group recently announced that Sam Goldwater has accepted the position of Vice President, Business Development.  In his new role, Sam will report directly to Bob Andrews and will be responsible for business growth for the entire group of companies including Protection Development, Inc.; PDI Rail Solutions; PDI Fire Protection Systems, and the Catalpa Falls Group. 

Goldwater brings 40 years of fire protection business experience as well as fire combat experience to a growing organization focused around Fire Protection Engineering, Design, Installation, and Equipment in a multitude of markets including Architecture, Construction, Transportation, and Government.  Sam’s track record of business growth in the fire market makes him the ideal person for the Bob Andrews Group of companies.  There are already two new companies on the drawing board and more in the future as BAG grows.

Founded in 1985 as a fire protection engineering firm, Protection Development provides a full spectrum of fire protection engineering services including sprinkler and fire alarm design, fire and smoke modeling, and performance-based designs offering innovative solutions to complex fire and life-safety challenges. In addition, PDI provides consulting services for fire, building, and life-safety code compliance, including plans review and the issuance of commodity letters. PDI also provides government third-party plan review services on behalf of local, state, and federal agencies. In addition to its engineering and consulting services, PDI, through its Permitting Section, assists its clients in negotiating the complex permitting process, managing that process from initial application, through all necessary inspections, to final Certificate-of-Occupancy.

In June 2009, PDI expanded its commitment to the rail / transit consulting business by launching a new, dedicated division, aimed specifically at that industry. The new division is called PDI Rail Solutions.

Established in 2012, PDI Fire Protection Services, LLC provides for the design and installation of specialized fire detection, fire alarm, fire suppression, and fire extinguishing systems for rail and transit vehicles.  Additionally, the company provides comprehensive inspection, testing, and maintenance services related to both new and existing fire protection systems.

The company provides services to private and public operators of rail, subway, light-rail, trolley, and other fixed guide-way vehicles within the North American Free Trade Agreement markets.
