KME announced that the city of Anchorage, Alaska, is adding three additional pumpers to its fire fleet that already contains a substantial number of KME trucks.
All three units feature a 100” KME PredatorTMSevere Service cab and chassis with seating for six, RollTek occupant rollover protection, Zoll road safety system, rear air ride suspension, and Cummins ISX-12 450hp engine.

Two units are a 4×2 configuration while the third is a 4×4 utilizing the EZ Trac hydraulic all-wheel drive system. KME was the first apparatus manufacturer to deliver this system on a previous truck to Anchorage. The EZ Trac is the only system of its kind that can be engaged or disengaged at speeds of 20 mph or less, does not require the addition of drive lines or transfer cases and does not raise vehicle height or alter the factory turning radius.
The apparatus also includes a 1500gpm single stage pump, Hades 20,000 BTU pumphouse heating system, Class A & B foam system, 750gal Water / 20gal Class A / 40 gal Class B foam tanks, light tower, and hydraulic ladder rack.
