Portsmouth (VA) Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the scene of a working residential structure fire in the 2300 block of Charleston Avenue.

Around 0255 on August 2, 2018, the house was reported as a vacant home and it was fully engulfed with fire at the arrival of the first company. The crews immediately went into defensive operations. The origin and cause have yet to be determined. At the time of this post, no injuries have been reported.
