Toyne Prepares to Put Brand, Apparatus on Display at FDIC 2014

Following a pivotal rebranding initiative last fall, Toyne is preparing to highlight a number of significant company advancements at the world’s largest firefighter training conference and exhibition next month. The respected emergency vehicle manufacturer will be showcasing its amplified brand and custom Toyne Tailored Apparatus at this year’s Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC), April 7-12, in Indianapolis, Indiana, in a new booth location (#3037).

Three exclusive Toyne Tailored Apparatus will be on display at the event including a 75-foot single axle heavy duty Aerial Demo. This heavy duty truck features a Toyne premium bolted brushed stainless steel body and 500 gallon booster tank coupled with a Spartan Metro Star chassis. Those unable to attend FDIC will have the opportunity to see the 75-foot Aerial at several other events throughout the 2014 show season. In addition to the Aerial Demo, Toyne will also be displaying the Albion (PA) Fire Department Rescue Pumper. The Albion apparatus, which also features the Toyne premium bolted brushed stainless steel body, has over 320 cubic feet of compartment space and boasts an exclusive Toyne “Max-Storage” wheel well storage system. Albion’s Rescue Pumper, which is powered by an HME 1871-W chassis, has extremely low mounted crosslays and a 500-gallon booster tank.

In addition to these two units on display in the Toyne booth, the company will showcase a very unique truck custom designed for the Cordova (NE) Fire Department in partnership with Freightliner in booth #4521. The Cordova Pumper, which is mounted on an M2-106 4×4 chassis, is equipped with a pump system capable of releasing 1,000 gallons per minute at 150 psi unrestricted pump and roll capacity. This highly specialized truck also features a Toyne Tactical high rear departure angle, bolted brushed stainless steel body, 1,000-gallon booster tank and various ‘wildland’ features such as booster reels, front bumper turret and a class A foam system.

Toyne Product Support Coordinator, Bill Bird, is looking forward to this year’s conference. “We are anxious to showcase some new Toyne features this year,” said Bird. “For some firefighters, this will be the first time they see our new Toyne identity and that is exciting for us as well.”

Those who are unable to attend FDIC 2014 can keep up with event activity by following Toyne on Twitter (@ToyneFireTrucks) as well as using the official FDIC hashtag #FDIC2014. More information on Toyne fire apparatus can be found on their official website at www.toyne.com.
