Columbus (OH) Firefighters Rescue Worker from Construction Site

On Friday, September 22, 2017, Columbus (OH) firefighters rescued an injured worker from a construction site in the Short North section of the city. Mike Watiker shared some images from the incident, which show firefighter Mike Powell descending 12 stories with the injured patient.

The worker was trapped at a height of 130 feet–higher up than what the Columbus Division of Fire could reach with their tallest ladders. Crews were able to access the patient through the inside of the structure, and Columbus fire crews worked with other construction workers to bring the injured man down in a basket, according to a report from WBNS.
