Structural Firefighting: Hamtramck (MI) Firefighters Battle Multiple-Dwelling Fire

At around 0110 hours on Monday, April 13, firefighters from the Hamtramck (MI) Fire Department were dispatched to check for a possible dwelling fire at Holbrook & Brombach.

Hamtramck Engine 1 and Ladder 1 arrived on the scene and reported a working fire in a four-family dwelling. Engine 1 requested the box alarm and stretched on the dwelling.

Chief 5 assumed command and requested a third engine for RIT. Crews performed in interior attack and brought this fire under control with three lines in 30 minutes.

Responding to this incident were Hamtramck Engines 1, 35, and 39; Hamtramck Ladder 1; Squad 3; and Chief 5.
