Career Firefighters to Honor Fallen Colleagues

Colorado Springs, CO-Career firefighters who have died in the line of duty will be honored by colleagues, family, and friends during the 15th annual International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial Observance, to be held in Colorado Springs on September 15 at 1:30 p.m.. This year, 73 names will be inscribed on the IAFF Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial Wall of Honor.

The ceremony will feature firefighter honor guards, color guards, and pipe bands. Ceremonial flag presentations will be made to the fallen firefighters’ families. The dedication of the new wall, which recognizes firefighters who died in the line of duty from June 2000 through June 2001, will be held during the 2001 Observance.
