>> The Los Angeles City (CA) Fire Department has placed four AMERICAN LaFRANCE tractor-drawn aerial ladder trucks in service. Chief of Emergency Operations Donald Frazeur says this design provides more maneuverability through traffic and many winding streets found in their interface communities. The wall-to-wall turning radius is less than the pumpers, and they provide more ground ladder storage and compartment space.
