Xtreme Rescue Introduces the HALO Escape System

To effectively address emergency egress, fire departments across the country are evaluating personal escape systems as standard equipment. As the world’s first and only escape system that allows one-handed repelling, the HALO Escape System from Xtreme Rescue is quickly setting a new standard in simplicity, safety, and performance.

The innovation of the HALO system is its auto-locking cam that enables users to repel and control their descent with one hand for a fast and secure exit from any building or structure. Xtreme Rescue founder and Chicago Firefighter… Brian Herrli developed this product to address a common problem.

“All the escape systems we had been using required two hands, which is fine if you’re doing rock climbing but isn’t ideal for an escape that needs to happen in a split second,” Herrli explains. In an emergency situation when you need to bail-out quick, you can imagine all the benefits of having a free hand. No other system on the market makes that possible.”

The HALO Escape System has already won evaluations Chicago, San Diego, Pittsburgh, and Spokane among others. “Anyone can come out and say, ‘We have the best product on the market.’ But when fire departments do independent, unbiased evaluations and compare the HALO system to every other product out there for a safe, controlled descent, the HALO seems to prevail choose us,” says Herrli.

Certified to meet the NFPA 1983 and 2012 performance requirements, the HALO system is constructed of rugged yet lightweight Aluminum. Packing the low-profile bag is simple and provides compact storage and reliable, rapid deployment. This system was designed to provide zero snagging during window transition and 100% let-off from anchor to exit. “In addition to the one-handed option, what our customers really like about the product is how simple and easy-to-use it is, ” says Herrli.

Xtreme Rescue will be demonstrating the HALO System at FDIC in Indianapolis April 7-12 at Booth #13029. To order or learn more about the HALO Escape System and other innovative products from Xtreme Rescue, visit xtremerescue.com or email xtremerescue1@yahoo.com.
