Coaster Catches Fire at Six Flags Magic Mountain

A structure fire was reported at the Six Flags Magic Mountain theme park in Valencia, reports CBS Los Angeles (http://cbsloc.al/1xzQ6sc)

Officials received a call about a reported fire at the park at 26101 Magic Mountain Parkway, according to Los Angeles County Fire officials.

The 1,000-square-foot fire was located on the Colossus ride, LA County Fire Inspector Scott Miller told KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO.

The fire was extinguished within a half-hour and no injuries were reported.

Colossus was recently closed to make way for the construction of Twisted Colossus, which will combine the iconic wooden structure with 5,000 feet of state-of-the-art track. Twisted Colossus is scheduled to debut in summer 2015.
