MobileData Communications Corp. has literature available on the MDC-386, a harsh-environment PC/AT compatible designed for in-vehicle operation. The MDC-386 has a 20 MHz 80386 32-bit microprocessor, 32 KByte cache memory, and four to eight MBytes of main memory. Its operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C. Literature is also available for MobileData’s FireCommand™, a new incident command system. Its multiple display provides real time information about the resources assigned with the Command display. One major safety benefit is FireCommand™’s ability to notify command when a resource has exceeded its maximum time in a critical assignment area.
