A three-alarm fire burned out of control in a neighborhood supermarket and dry cleaners on 150th Street near Willets Point Boulevard in the Whitestone section of Queens, New York, on Tuesday evening, August 2.

The blaze broke out around 9:00 p.m. and took more than four hours to bring under control.

Dozens of local residents lined the streets to watch as more than 100 Fire Department of New York (FDNY) firefighters fought the smokey blaze at the family-owned Strawberry Farms market and adjacent M&M dry cleaners.

Only one minor injury was reported.
