The Hauser Lake (ID) Fire Department uses this FORT GARRY FIRE TRUCKS tanker to protect a rural bedroom community only one-third of which is hydranated, explains Chief Larry Simms. He says it is also used as a backup pumper and provides mutual aid to other districts without hydrants.

The Boca Raton (FL) Fire Rescue Service replaced an older truck of similar makeup with this SUTPHEN SPH 100 Aerial Tower. Assistant Chief Michael A. Gregora mentions some improvements which include a tighter turning radius, LED illuminated ladder, short jack interlock, backup camera, creep mode interlock, increased storage, and a front bumper compartment with extrication equipment.

  • AUDIOVOX Voyager backup camera system (left, right, and rear);
  • TNT rescue tools with two HANNAY hydraulic reels all in front bumper;
  • MEDTRONIC AED/monitor; and
  • light and power with ONAN 15-kw hydraulic generator, nine FRC floodlights (one brow and two each at turntable, rear of platform, side of cab, and bottom of platform), and one HANNAY electric cord reel.

The Ogallala (NE) Fire Department designed this RESCUE 1 rescue truck to transport more staff and equipment with emphasis on specialized rescue, explains Assistant Chief Mike Bell. He says it responds to MVAs, structure fires, hazmat incidents, and water and technical rescues.

  • light and power with ONAN 35-kw pto direct-drive generator, WILL BURT Night Scan, six FRC floodlights (two rear on tripods; four scene on body), one WHELEN brow light, and two HANNAY electric cord reels.
