Residents Escape Franklin Square (NY) House Fire

A Franklin Square (NY) home was heavily damaged by a spectacular fire on Friday evening, March 4.

Firefighters were called to the Barnes Street home just before 8:00 p.m. and found a portion of the ranch style home heavily involved in flames.

The occupants of the house were able to flee to safety with a variety of house pets, including dogs and birds. Units from Elmont, West Hempstead, and Garden City assisted at the scene. There were no serious injuries reported.

Franklin Square is a hamlet located in Nassau County on Long Island.
