FDNY Firefighters Urge the Public to Attend Firefighter Services

Fire of Department of New York (FDNY) firefighters are asking that as many people as possible attend the memorial services and funerals for their comrades who died in the World Trade Center attack on September 11, to support grieving family members and friends. Many FDNY firefighters will not be able to attend because they are still engaged in rescue and recovery operations at Ground Zero at the World Trade Center site. More than 300 firefighters have been confirmed dead or are still missing in the disaster.

The following memorial services and funerals have been scheduled for this week, according to fdnyonline:
