Peterbilt Motors Company announces several even lighter upgrades to its Air Leaf and Air Trac suspension systems. Peterbilt has replaced some of the steel components in its current systems with high-strength, lighterweight aluminum. The upgraded 58,000pound capacity Air Leaf has aluminum framebrackets, shock brackets, and air spring supports that reduce weight by 150 pounds. The 40,000-pound capacity Air Trac has aluminum shock brackets and air spring supports and weighs 90 pounds less than its predecessor.
