● The Cross Plains-Berry (WI) Fire Department designed its MARION BODY WORKS tanker for easier turning on narrow roads in the rural district, according to Chief Gary Itten. The department has a second tanker of the same size.

● The Wildwood City (NJ) Fire Department chose a mid-mount platform apparatus instead of a rear-mount design for its ability to negotiate the city’s streets, according to Battalion Chief Ernie Troiano. This EMERGENCY ONE truck is effective in reaching roofs and setbacks.

● The Pensacola (NC) Fire Department designed this ROSENBAUER/CENTRAL STATES pumper with a large tank to serve its rural area, Chief Derek Murphy says. The department also wanted a top-mount pump panel for safety and improved visibility.
