The Goshen (IN) Fire Department replaced an articulated platform with this KME telescoping platform for added length and better reach, according to Chief John Alheim. The low-profile cab allows the unit to fit into quarters.

• 102-foot Aerialcat platform with 1,000-pound payload capacity (500 pounds wet), ELKHART Scorpion monitor, breathing air, and metal brackets for STOKES litter;

• 18-foot outrigger spread (13-foot, six-inch short jacked); and

• light and power with HARRISON 10-kw PTO generator, two HOOSIER Dyna Lite midship floodlights, two HAVIS SHIELDS FX-12 spot/floodlights at rear of platform, and two HANNAY electric cord reels.

The Wade-Hampton Fire Department in Greenville, South Carolina, designed this SEAGRAVE pumper for general firefighting with special emphasis on assisting EMS on medical calls, explains Chief Gary Downey.

The Cross Plains-Berry (WI) Fire Department designed its MARION BODY WORKS tanker for easier turning on narrow roads in the rural district, according to Chief Gary Itten. The department has a second tanker of the same size.

The Wildwood City (NJ) Fire Department chose a mid-mount platform apparatus instead of a rear-mount design for its ability to negotiate the city’s streets, according to Battalion Chief Ernie Troiano. This EMERGENCY ONE truck is effective in reaching roofs and setbacks.

• light and power with ONAN 10-kw hydraulic generator, HANNAY electric cord reel, and six HAVIS SHIELDS floodlights (two on cab roof, two on body, and two on platform).

The Pensacola (NC) Fire Department designed this ROSENBAUER/CENTRAL STATES pumper with a large tank to serve its rural area, Chief Derek Murphy says. The department also wanted a top-mount pump panel for safety and improved visibility.

The Danvers (IL) Community Fire Protection District uses its PIERCE pumper for field and brush fires, according to Public Information Officer Steve Smedley. It also serves as a reserve structural firefighting engine and a first response unit for vehicle accidents.
