Fire Damages Hightstown (NJ) Condo Building

Firefighters from at least seven towns battled a fire Wednesday night that heavily damaged an eight-unit condominium in Hightstown, New Jersey.

The fire started around 9 p.m., shortly after a powerful lightning storm swept through the area, according to a Times of Trenton report (http://bit.ly/1mODe5T). Onlookers said a lightning strike was responsible for the fire, and bolts continued to light up the sky as firefighters worked at the scene hours later.

The report said the second-story roof of the building appeared to have completely collapsed. Firefighters managed to get all residents out of the structure.
