Apparatus Deliveries
The Opelika (AL) Fire Department protects a 161-square-mile area that is 80 percent urban, 10 percent suburban, and 10 percent rural. Chief Terry Adkins says this EMERGENCY ONE pumper has a short wheelbase for maneuvering city streets with hard-to-access locations. Due to staffing limits, the unit has a large booster tank and quick-attack features.
