R. I. Chiefs Elect

Chief Marty Bralich of the Misquamicut Fire Department in Westerly was elected president of the Rhode Island Fire Chiefs Association. He succeeds Chief Michael Moise of the Providence Fire Department, who was the first president of the two-yearold organization.

Other officers are Chief Gerald Landry of Woonsocket, first vice president; Chief Jon Manchester of Tiverton, second vice president; Chief Joseph Burgess of the Tiogue Fire Department in Conventry, secretary; Chief Robert Mowry of the Primrose Fire Department in North Smithfield, treasurer; and Chief Joseph Monahan, Narragansett Fire Department, sergeant at arms.

More than 85 percent of the state’s chiefs now belong to the association, which has taken an active role in lobbying for many of the fire safety bills in the state legislature.
