These compact, aerodynamic Voyager cameras, when paired with one of ASA’s Voyager LCD Observation Monitors, help eliminate blind spots on one and/or both sides of commercial and heavy trucks.
The Voyager Side Vision Cameras are designed to give drivers maximum safety and visibility while out on the road. They consist of a high resolution, cylindrical camera enclosed in a durable, impact-resistant plastic housing. The Voyager Side Vision Cameras are small and unobtrusive and can easily be surface mounted on either side of a vehicle to aid drivers in changing lanes, pulling into traffic, merging, and making wide turns.
The sleek camera design allows for maximum aerodynamics and can blend into any vehicle’s exterior. For a customized look, housings come in white, chrome, and “paintable” gray primer. These cameras are offered in both color and black and white versions and have side specific designs to provide added blind zone viewing assistance on both sides of a vehicle.
The Voyager Side Vision Cameras allow drivers the ability to see beyond the normal scope of vision provided by conventional mirrors. Each camera has at least a 110 degree (130 degrees for B/W) viewing angle which aids the driver in effectively seeing up to four lanes over without losing site of the truck body/trailer. Voyager systems are specifically designed, built, and tested to withstand vibrations and outdoor environments such as humidity, condensation, and temperature fluctuations.
Because safety is of highest priority to many Commercial Vehicle and Heavy Truck fleets, the addition of side body cameras to a camera/monitor system can greatly enhance road visibility and effectively eliminate dangerous blind spots on the sides of a vehicle.
