Kentucky Fire Chief Succumbs to Injuries from Apparatus Crash

Glencoe (KY) Fire-Rescue Chief Robert “Bud” Glenn Webster Sr., 64, died in May from complications of a traumatic brain injury suffered during an accident in 2006.

According to the United States Fire Administration (USFA) firefighter fatality report, Webster was responding to an incident when the crash occurred. On July 4, 2006, while responding to a motor vehicle accident, the fire apparatus Webster was driving left the roadway and overturned, causing him to be ejected and pinned underneath the vehicle.
