This series of scenario-based training discussions require each member of the crew to describe what their individual and crew actions are when faced with a fireground safety hazard or fireground emergency. Each member of your department who responds to a fire scene should have a “safety pre-plan” to deal with hazardous situations that occur during fire scene operations.
In this scenario, a deteriorating fire scene requires emergency evacuation of the building. Conditions are worsening and companies are beginning to lose control of their positions. Collapse, flashover, and other hostile events are possible and some companies are self-evacuating from the incident. No incident-wide evacuation message or action has taken place yet. Describe your actions/reactions to this situation and review the department procedure if this was to occur.
