The Anderson Township (OH) Fire Department designed this SUMMIT FIRE APPARATUS pumper to handle general firefighting, EMS, hazmat, and rescue responses. Chief Mark Ober says that the pump controls are protected by a roll-up door for faster repairs (no removal of panels), visual ability for engineers to check the vehicle and understand its operations, and protection from the elements. The side-mount pump panel shortens the vehicle’s length, and the low speedlays make for easier deployment along with the large supply line hosebed of 60 inches.

Features/Equipment:

SPARTAN Metro Star chassis with 200-inch wheelbase and four-seat cab with an EMS cabinet and a 10-inch raised roof;

CUMMINS ISL 9 450-hp diesel engine;

CFP 500-gallon water and 50-gallon foam tanks;

(All four speedlays and the 2½-inch discharges are on a manifold with the Class A foam system.);

RUDD rotogrip tire chains;

MITO CORPORATION camera system (four-sided with a screen at the pump panel);
