Metropolitan Dade County of Miami, FL has recently taken delivery of a new Emergency One Mobile Respiratory Air Support Vehicle. This unit features a Mako Model MHP 40 compressor driven by a Deutz diesel engine. The all-aluminum modular body is mounted on a Ford L series chassis with a Detroit Diesel 6V-92TA engine and an Allison automatic transmission. The unit is also equipped with a 4,000 watt Winco generator powered by a Lombardini Diesel engine.

McDonnell Douglas Fire Services, St. Louis, MO, took delivery of a crash fire rescue vehicle. The vehicle was built by Fire Master Fire Apparatus, Inc. The hydraulically operated platform with dual acting controls, located both inside the cab and on top of the platform, gives the operator vertical and lateral movement. The rescue platform is mounted on a heavy duty 3/4 ton, 4X4 pickup truck. A 500 lb. Halon 1211 firefighting unit was added to the base structure of the frame inside the pickup bed. The platform and the hydraulic system were designed to lift 1,000 pounds or more, and the platform is easily transferred to a new chassis when needed.

Woodbury, CT, recently took delivery of a Mack Model RM 6884X series all-wheel drive chassis with a Fire-Max fire body by Ward '79 Limited. The unit has a Mack EMG285 diesel engine, an Allison HT 740 automatic transmission and a wheelbase of 222 inches. It is equipped with a Hale QSMF 150, 1,500 gallon single stage pump, and twin Hannay reels.

North Babylon, NY, has recently taken delivery of a Hahn pumper. The pumper has a 92 inch cab, a 1,750 gpm Hale Q pump, a 750 gallon booster tank, and five inch front and rear suctions powered by an 8V71T Detroit Diesel engine.

Two Omega pumpers were delivered to the city of Salt Lake Fire Department by FMC Corporation, IN. The two top mount 1,500 Hale QSMF/750 vehicles each incorporate a 1,500 gpm Hale single-stage pump and a 750-gallon, single piece, uni-molded linear polyethylene water tank.
