Fire-Dex Announces Bob Tharp Retirement and Peggy Curtis Named as Successor

After over 10 years of working devotedly as Fire-Dex’s Western Regional Sales Manager, Bob Tharp has announced that he will be retiring effective January 9th, 2015.  “I have truly enjoyed working for Fire-Dex over the last 10 years. They have been like my second family.  I plan to remain connected to all the wonderful people I have developed relationships with over the years. I have great faith that my customers are going to be in very competent hands with my successor, Peggy Curtis.” said Bob Tharp.

Fire-Dex will be bringing on Peggy Curtis as the new Regional Sales Manager for Arizona, California, Hawaii, New Mexico, and Nevada.  The remaining states previously covered by Bob Tharp will temporarily be covered by Fire-Dex’s Director of Sales, Steve Allison, until a new Regional Sales Manager has been named.

Peggy brings with her almost 30 years of experience in sales in the fire industry.  Peggy says she is “thrilled to be a part of the Fire-Dex team.  I have admired Fire-Dex’s rapid growth for many years and plan to make a great impact on our presence in the Southwest states. I look forward to meeting my distributors and beginning work with the Fire-Dex team.”

Most recently Peggy was the Vice President of Sales for ISG Camera.  Prior to ISG, she was the Vice President of Sales for another turnout gear manufacturer where she worked with our now Director of Sales, Steve Allison.  Steve stated “She has a very strong end user network developed throughout the southwest market.  She also has strong relationships with many of the potential dealer partners we are working to develop into stronger partnership.  Peggy sold many metro accounts through the US and Canada where she and I worked together over the years.”

Peggy Curtis began work with Fire-Dex on January 5th and will work with Bob Tharp to make the final transition.
