SCBA

Clifton Precision, a division of Litton Industries, Inc., has acquired a new line of NIOSH approved, positive pressure, selfcontained breathing apparatus (SCBA). The systems are designed with a belt-mounted control module which houses two independent air pressure reducing circuits: a main line system and a by-pass system. The separate pressure reducer in the by-pass line ensures a constant air flow to the user in the event the main line ceases to function. The by-pass line also provides for a built-in buddy breathing system. A quick-release coupling enables one unit’s by-pass line to be connected to another unit’s by-pass control without the inhalation of any fumes or breaking the face seal.
