This updated version of the original 1980 edition is an official publication of the U.S. Department of Transportation. The guidebook is divided into three sections. The first lists approximately 2,600 commodities by their ID numbers. The second is an alphabetical listing of the commodities, and the third is an action guide giving detailed instructions on handling the incidents. A Table of Isolation and Evacuation is also included.
