Heater and battery charger recalled
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced that the Dewalt Industrial Tool Co. of Hampstead, Maryland, is recalling about 150,000 DW9104 and DW9106 one-hour battery chargers. The plastic housing could separate during a severe impact, exposing internal electrical components that could present an electric shock hazard. The items were sold in hardware stores and home centers nationwide between August 1995 and April 1996, some in kits with rechargeable cordless tools. Also, Caframo Limited of Wiarton, Ontario, Canada, is recalling 2,460 Ceramic furnace electric space headers, model 9301T. The motors may overheat, presenting electric shock and fire hazards.
